In 1928, Garaventa Lift first raised itself above competitors in the Swiss Alps with revolutionary tramway rope systems. Garaventa then expanded into the USA in 1967 and realized the market for accessibility needs. Twelve years before the ADA Act, Garaventa installed the first wheelchair lift in America.

In 2010, Stiltz Lift was conceived in the United Kingdom with the innovative idea that accessibility can come without a shaft. Fifteen years later, Stiltz Lift is a flourishing company, expanding in western and eastern markets alike.
